    「走来走去，如果没公司愿意，怎办呢？」兆良有点烦躁地哆嗦着。

    「那只有做一座石膏像，这个我可以帮你做。」

    到了最後在Hempstead区的一爿商店，在兆良恳求那位小姐才有点眉目。我们从车箱抬了三个母模让她先看看．．．

    “Well, I’m sorry, I need a positive.”

    我听得挤了挤眉头:

    “I’m sorry, Miss..”

    “I’m Sabrina.”　她笑了笑。

    “Hi Sabrina, I’m Rhys. I made the mould, why you ’t work on a ive?”

    “Guys, I’m sorry, we need a positive instead, or better say, the inal model or statue, we don’t make brohout a positive, you know, upon taking an order, we’ll take photos to ehe statue is intact . It’s our policy.”

    她一面说一面查看母模。

    “You’d better find someoo make a positive first, either in clay, terracotta, plaster whatever you have.  I need a……”

    突然看她锁着眉头，俯身看了看，又走到柜子前，从抽屉里拿了个眼球型放大镜，对着某处再仔细地看。仰头向我问起来：

    “Oh my god! Are you Mr. ?”

    “No.” 可能她看到女像衣边有个刻印，不过她怎会知道兆良的姓氏？

    兆良一直绷着脸，这时才觉得有点放松。

    “Yes, I’m, call me Michael. What’s up?”

    “Is Miss Claire Lin your mom?”

    “Right!”　兆良也觉得有点出奇。

    “Ahha, she is a habitue here.”

    莎布莲娜小姐登时改变了态度，伸出手来向我们问好。

    “Oh, I haven’t seen her for a very long time, is she ok?”

    “She’s in an asylum.” 兆良每次提起妈在疗养院，神色便沈重起来。

    莎布莲娜愣了愣，表情诧异的说： “Oh……I’m..I’m so sorry.”

    “It’s been years, and that’s why I want to make a replica, it’s probably my mom’s last work.”

    莎布莲娜叹了口气：“To be ho, man, I really ’t accept a ive.”

    我们都愣在当场，突然看到她咧嘴笑了笑：

    “However, I  make a positive for you.”

    “That’s great, oh, that’s really great！”

    兆良一脸兴奋地回应： “Thank you so much, Sabrina.”

    “Ok, you  a bronze, right? Normally our minimum quantity for small broatue is 10. As a gesture of goodwill, I’ll bypass this policy…”

    “Oh, fabulous! Sabrina, you really make my day! But…how long would it take? I am going back to Hong Kong pretty soon.”

    莎布莲娜耸了耸肩，又说：

    “Ok, I’m gonna make a plaster positive right now, we have a batch of orders here ready for the final bronze-pour. I think it takes probably a week, you know, assembly and final polish etc etc, well, they all take time.”
